I saw your concert @ Westminster Presbyterian and got to meet your beautiful wife when I bought all your CD’s. Your lyrics and music touched my soul! I still listen to them weekly. My daughter loves them also and she didn’t come to the concert. I was a new member and when I heard you sing I Am in the service I knew I had to come to the concert. Keep writing a lot of songs because God is going to take you far. I am old enough to be your mother and I thank God for young men like you and pray for you and your ministry. Scott preached today and I told him you would be at Stone Mountain on Valentine’s day. Have fun and God bless you and your wife. No matter the valley’s storms, the sun is shining on you always!! God’s son.

Hi! I was at that concert that you had at the Cove Church, and I really enjoyed it!!! And I think my favorite song would have to be Soon Will Fade. But it was kind of a hard choice. They are all so good! Anyway, hope to see you at the Cove again! God Bless!

Hey! I am a 13 year old girl, and your song “More Beautiful You” has impacted me in such a way…I feel that God placed me at the right spot at the right time. Every day I am tempted with people and society telling me what is right, how to dress, how to act. For a while, I felt like there was no hope for our society. Then I heard your song. Thank you GOD.

    Jonny,
I just wanted to say that your song, “More Beautiful You” is amazing. I was going through some tough things for a while and I have recently found God. I turned on my local Christian radio station and I heard you song and I immediatly started crying. I am fourteen and I have been struggling with a lot of internal and external problems. You song has had a HUGE influence on my life. It is absolutley b-e-a-u-tiful song! Thank you!

    Hey,
Your such an amazing artist! You’ve touched my heart and soul. Your song, “More Beautiful You” has really changed my life. I love it. The words really made me think. I’m a pretty self-conscious girl, and the song really just made me feel like what I look like doesn’t really matter…it’s God’s opinion of me that does. Thanks so much for the song. Hope your music takes you on a great road!

I am a grandmother, and age 57. The song “More Beautiful You” came on my favorite Christian radio station yesterday and it was the first time I had ever heard it. I just want you to know what it did for me. First I saw my beautiful 8 grandaughters ranging from 6 to 15 in age in my mind as I listened. They too all try to be what “society” expects of them. It is sad to watch. They are so wholesome and beautiful right now, I can hardly describe them as I see them! I just watch them in AWE! All 8 of them love the Lord and that alone makes them amazing. But, of course “society” makes them feel not quite enough. There are freckles on some, there are glasses on some, there are imperfect extemities on some. The imperfections are decided by “society” of course. Hearing your song made me see each one of them for how they feel about themselves vs. how I actually view them. Amazingly, Our Father sees then at an even greater amount of perfection then I do. So, I thank you for your song. They will each be getting a copy of it. By the way, I said I was 57 at the start of this message. I told you that because you even ministered to me at this age about all the pain I have felt for most of my life knowing I was not “Beautiful” by “societies” standards. Your song made me realize how beautiful I am by My Fathers standards, and he is what counts! We win in the end of the story, don’t we? God Bless you for doing his work through the songs he has and will continue to put in you to minister for him!!!

    Dear Jonny Diaz,
I reccently heard your song More Beautiful You, i think its a wonderful song. I was wondering if you could write a song, centered to teenagers again, writing them how God loves them, and helping them to overcome depression, eating disorders, cutting themselves, family problems, violence, addictions, feeling unloved, unworty because how others have treated them, suicide, not being beautiful enough in todays culture (I know you already have a song about that), just a song that gives them encouragement, like they feel loved and they are worthy of God’s love, something that reaches out to the teenagers of our culture with all the influnences that are distracting them, tearing them away from life. Thank you for your time.

i saw you about 2 years ago at First Baptist in Tallahassee on the FSU campus…. i was going through a very hard personal time and was trying to piece my heart and soul back together. you performed there one sunday and sang “sarah jo”…. i loved the song and felt jesus called me to church to hear that song… i stayed afterwards to try to meet you and wanted to buy te CD but had no money on me…. i tried finding you on myspace but couldn’t- and then i stumbled upon you on itunes and felt a tug to click on sarah jo— and there your words were. where i am in my life now compared to where i was…. this song is amazing. I work at Disney performing as various princesses- and sarah in hebrew means princess and my nickname is jo.. so this song is just 100% amazing. thank you so much for this song and God does come full circle!!!!!! bless you :) <

A few Christmas’ ago, your first two CDs were at the top of my wish list. Needless to say, I got them both :) It’s been incredible listening to your music through the past few years and hearing the messages that God has given you to put into your songs. Your song Who Am I from your Shades of White CD has been beyond encouraging for me recently. It’s such a beautiful reminder that when things don’t work out the way it seemed they should have, that God’s plan is still intact. He knows our situation and he feels our pain with us. Who are we to ask God why? Who Am I says that God loves me and he does whats best for me and thats what I needed to be reminded of today. He works through everything and in 2 Corinthians 12:9 we’re told that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. The past few months have been difficult for me but I’m constantly being reminded that God has it all worked out for me. There’s no purpose in being anxious because waiting time is never wasted by Him. I’ve been encouraged to serve, praise, and love God while I’m waiting for Him to accomplish the next great thing in my life and it’s been amazing. I’m sure you get emails like this multiple times a day, but who gets tired of hearing how God is working in people’s lives? :)

I am so very excited to hear more and more of how God is working in your life and I’m anxious to hear all of your music that is coming up in the future. God has given you a wonderful gift and I’m honored I’m able to be a witness of it! Your music is so very inspiring and uplifting! Thank you for allowing God to use you in the way He is, because it’s making a tremendous impact on me and so many others! Have a wonderful day Jonny!

    Hi Jonny,

I am just fascinated by this song you wrote, “More Beautiful You.” I wish I’d heard it when I was struggling with my weight as a kid. But now I’m so glad I can share it with my clients. Music is what got me through so much of the painful times of not finding God in the right places and I’m just in a grateful place. So I hope to help girls believe in themselves who haven’t quite hit their teen years yet, and to share it with women in their twenties in college who could relate as well.

I’m working with some girls at a local Youth Sports Camp on Self-esteem with the Salvation Army, and I’m going to be playing your song in my class Friday. Today I played “Unwritten” and I believe your song will be a great follow-up.

I’d love to know what led you to write this….

Thank you for sharing your gift from God.

    Hi Johny,

I wanted to thank you so much for your absolutely amazing song “More Beautiful You”. You’ll never know how much of an impact it had on me. I’d been really bothered with my size and felt miserable. I was not at all happy with the way God made me and started to “fix” the way I was made by eating much, much less. When I heard your song on the radio, I was feeling dirty, miserable, and physically sick. But when I listened to the awesome words of your song, I nearly cried. I felt so ashamed of being so vain and basically slapping God in the face by saying the way He made me wasn’t good enough. I cannot thank you enough for your song. I am now slowly becoming more comfortable with myself and becoming to accept the girl God made me. Thank you so much!!!!! God bless you!

    Jonny,

I am in mid 20′s and just recently heard “More Beautiful You” for the first time. Wow it’s amazing! I wish that song had been written when I was a teenager. After going from one abusive boyfriend to the next I have always felt ugly until I got saved last year and Christ changed the way I see myself. I will soon be speaking at a conference about domestic abuse and how God has brought out of all that. There will be women from shelters and teenager girls there as I well. I would really love to play your song “More Beautiful You” for all of them to hear. Your music is such a blessing. I remember you and your ministy in my prayers.

I am an 18 year old girl from GA. I just listened to your song and God spoke to me through it. My favorite lines are, “So there could never be a more beautiful you” and “And you were made with such care your skin your body and your hair/ Are perfect just the way they are.”

These words mean so much to me as I have been recovering from anorexia this past year. It has been a long and hard journey, but God has taught me so much through it and he has been there every step of the way. It is difficutl for me to accept the words in this song, but I love hearing them because they drown out the lies anorexia tells me…”be thinner”…”there is a more beautiful you ONLY IF you lose more weight.”

This song drowns out the lies I believe to be true. It replaces the voices in my head telling me to just lose more weight and gives me hope that I just might be beautiful the way I am.

Thank you for being a willing vessel as God has truly used your talent to encourage and strengthen me.

    Jonny,
I am going to be attending a new school this year, and I was really worried about what they (the “popular” kids) would think of me. I love God, but I know how cruel the world can be sometimes. When I heard your song on the radio, I thought, “Wow. I am beautiful and I can be whoever I want. It doesn’t matter what they think of me. I am special and God created me to be me, not some computerized, perfect model.” Thanks for helping me with my fears and teaching me to just trust that God is in control now. Nothing they can do or say to me matters anymore. Thanks :)

    Hi,
I just wanted you to know how important the message in your song “More Beautiful You” is to this generation. I am the mother of a beautiful sixteen year old girl who has suffered with Anorexia for three years now. The recent statistics are that one in four teenage girls suffer from some type of eating disorder. These girls need to hear that they are wholly loved by an awesome God who created them for His purpose. You have done a tremendous job in relaying that message through the lyrics of this song. I pray that you will be heard by all those hurting girls all over the world and that the Holy Spirit will work through you and the talent that He has gifted you with.
    Blessings,
    Keri

i just felt i had to let you know how wonderful your song “more beautiful you” is, but i wanted to add that although there is such a strong desire women have to be beautiful and loved, it doesn’t end at 21, trust me. women in their 30s and 40s are doing so much plastic surgery. i have a friend who is 31 last week tell me that she had decided to do botox because she knew so many women younger than her getting it. i am not condemning any of this necessarily, i am just pointing out that i’m sure many women in their 70s would still love to be thought of as beautiful! and women of ALL ages struggle with a security about their appearance. but sincerely, it is a great song….it really is. thank you for recording it.

It’s about time people started realising that magazine are hideous peices of photoshoped models that make us feel awful about ourselves! At 17 years old I have been influenced many times by the power of media-changing the way I dress, eat and act. Now I am much more comfortable in my own skin and love being the individual I am. Hello,
i would like to tell you how much your song “A More Beautiful You” impacted me personally. Im 16 and I have always thought that I was imperfect. I know that God made me spacial and I know that I am beautiful, but Ive been through a lot in the past few years that have made me feel even more imperfect. One day when I was in the car with my mom this song came on KLove, and I felt like the fist verse was speaking to me.
So I just want to say thank you for all you do, and God bless you and your work.
    Thankyou again,

There are only two things in this earthly life that inspire me to do something differently with my life:
    The movie “Luther” that came out in 2003, which motivates me to use all of my God-given talents for His glory;
And your song, “More Beautiful You.”
I have been struggling with my looks since I was eleven, and as the years have progressed, nothing has changed. My face is still to pale, my nose too crooked, my acne too out of control. I just turned 14, and with that extra year came another thing to worry about: my weight.
Recently, I have been battling with whether to lose weight, possibly by going anorexic. I almost went anorexic by accident. I got dehydrated last year, and while I was in my ill state, I wasn’t eating that much. My stomach shrunk, and my appetite lessened. It wasn’t until recently that my parents helped me get back to my normal eating habits. Now, I feel overweight.
But just the other day, I heard your song on the K-LOVE radio station, and I realized that the “little girl fourteen” was me.
I stopped eating in-between meals, and I started reading my morning devotions again.
Thank you SO much for writing that song! It has helped me get back in touch with the Creator in a way I had never expected.

    God bless,
    Evelynn

    Jonny,

My mom came home one day and she had me listen to your song ‘More Beautiful You’. I listened to it and it touched my heart. I’m a high school student and I’m what you call a girl-next-door type of girl. I know I’m pretty but when I see the other girls I just feel…ugly. When I heard your song I realized that I’m way prettier than most of those girls, because I have Jesus in me and I don’t need the clothes or the hairstyles or the boyfriends to make my life complete. I love your song and I’m so glad that it was able to effect my life somehow.

    God Bless You.

    Frankie

Thanks for asking, Chelsey. You have my personal permission to print up the words for your group.

Hey Jonny & Band! I just want to thank you so very much for writing ‘Stand for You’ I have never heard so much truth in a song except for Amazing Grace! God will bless you for that and for following His commands. This new post-modern world has really changed the way some Christians think and we know that the Bible tells us not to be taken captive by deceptive philosophy. (Colossians 2:8)
    God Bless
    Thanks again! : )

I was at Warren W. Willis UM Camp way back when, when you played for us at highschool/ middleschool week. I thought you were amazing back then and when your song came on the TV I couldn’t have been happier. Coming from paying to make you own CDs to such success is really a miracle! I am so happy for you and I wish you luck in all you do!
